Ross Hyde

In 1974, after practicing five years of accountancy, Ross embarked on a 23 year career in the insurance industry. For the first three years Ross was a field agent with AMP Society. He then spent 10 years in various senior management positions with the Combined Insurance Company of America.

In 1987 Ross joined National Insurance Life as Administration manager and then moved in to the role of Assistant General Manager Sales and Development. Ross was instrumental in re-establishing the company in Auckland and increasing the annual income from $1m in 1990 to $60m in 1995, having become Tower Life and Health Ltd.

In early 1996 Ross joined National Mutual Health as NZ Sales and Distribution Manager implementing a new product range and distribution strategy. When Ross left in late 1997, the company had achieved unprecedented growth and profitability and was the first choice Medical Insurance provider in the intermediary market.

Ross joined Global Pacific Corporation in 1998. His extensive experience in the financial services industry and wide range of diverse business relationships has brought an added dimension to the company. Ross is operating in all areas of property and the commercial sector.
